Does people really get hired by good Github profiles? Is it really true that HR truly see Github profiles ?

Do people really get hired because of GitHub?

Yes, it happens, especially for:

• Software engineers
• Backend / frontend devs
• Open-source contributors
• Startups & tech-driven companies

But GitHub rarely replaces interviews, resumes, or skills. It supports them.

Do HRs actually look at GitHub?

• Usually don’t read code
• May just check activity, projects, and profile polish
