We utilise Bookstack for our KB for both internal and our customers.
This has been rolling out over the last 18 months or so, and now have more people writing guides - but due to legacy systems, they'll write stuff in Word and copy over. They like to use markdown as well, but can vary based on needs.
The system currently allows you to set a default editor globally, but a user cannot have their own preference.
Describe the benefits this would bring to existing BookStack users
This would allow for an easier transition to this platform for those used to using markdown, as well as those that might prefer one over the other without impacting another user.
I have reason to believe one of my team wrote a guide in MD, saved and reloaded which opened it in WYSIWYG which then, upon resaving, removed things like images:
Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?
Only globally as far as I'm aware.
